August is a great month for deepwater flounder fishing as the fishing in the bays and inlets are now set up on deepwater structure right where we will be fishing. Big fish and limits are not uncommon during this month. We will be fishing with traditional flounder rigs and jigging bucktails for doormat fluke. Trip are 8hr at $775 for private charter and $130 for open boat.
Fishing for yellowfin tuna is in full swing in the month of August. Other species are also commonly caught such as dolphin (mahi mahi), wahoo, white and blue marlin. Trips for these are 12 or 16 hr. 12 hr trips are $1500 for private charter or $250 per person. 16 hr trips are $1950 for private charter or $325 per person.
