May 2011
In May we will be fishing for a few different species. Striped bass will still be around until around the 3rd week of May. These will be larger trophy size fish with the average fish weighing around 30lbs with 40 and 50lb fish not uncommon. We will be anchored in the Delaware Bay using fresh bunker for bait on light tackle.
Around the moon phases in May we will be fishing for black drum. If you've never fished for black drum, try it! These are big fish and fight hard! We will be anchored in the Delaware Bay using fresh clam for bait on light tackle. The prime drum dates are highlighted below.
We will also be running offshore for a mixed bag bottom fishing trip targeting cod, pollock, and ling.
6 and 8hr trips are available for striper and drum trips, 8hr trips are available for mixed bag bottom fishing.
