The Jersey coast starts to come alive in early October with a variety of migrating gamefish. We will be doing mixed bag bottom fishing trips in early and mid October targeting tog, porgies, triggerfish, and croakers. These are fun trips using light tackle anchored and drifting over structure. These trips are 8hrs at $775 for private charter or $130 per person for open boat.
Mako and Thresher shark fishing is also on tap. Big sharks are making their migration south and are there for the taking. Fall shark fishing is less popular than spring shark fishing but just as productive. Very little fishing pressure! We do 8hr trips at $900 and 12hr trips at $1300. Private charters only.
Offshore we will still be doing our 16hr and 24+hr tuna trips. Tuna fishing is good until at least the 3rd week of October. 16hr trips are $1950 for private charter or $325 per person for open boat. 24+hr overnighters are $2500 for private charter or $420 per person for open boat.
The end of October marks the start of the fall striped bass run! These are by far our most popular fall trips. We apply several different tactics for catching these great gamefish. Live bait, chunking, trolling, and run and gun jigging under birdplay. Our mainstay is the famous Cape May Rips. If you've never fished there before, come with us and give it a try! These trips are 6hrs at $625 for private charter and $110 per person for open boat. Also, we can do 8hr trips at $750 for private charter.
